Our country has suffered an economy downfall as waves from India reached Bhutan. Our Ngultrum value fluctuates with the rupee of India as they are at par. As the rate of dollar keeps on changing time to time, Our economy is bound to bend with Indian Economy. But the question here is, What is the actual exchange rate for US dollar? Recently, on 17th Nov. 2013, to be precise, I somehow thought of looking at the exchange rate as I was reading the kuenselonline. The exchange rate was 63.3 but I checked the RMA website and was surprised to see the exchange rate; 62.15(buy) and 64.2(sell). Now whom shall we believe? If we back RMA for his authority and fact, then why is Kuensel not updating accordingly? I think kuensel need to check with RMA and update the rates because Kuenselonline is one of the widely viewed Bhutanese website. And if kuensel is wrong, why is RMA not correcting ? Bhutan is a small country and one of the youngest democratic Nation in the world, yet it has shown her beauty and charm in becoming one of the most peaceful country. She became democratic with, our beloved Druk Gyalpos handing over the nation to the people after serving her for 100 years. With democracy came the politics, which was very new to our peaceful people. The country saw her first election in the year 2008 though there were only two political parties. Bhutan saw many civil servants going into politics which created space for younger generation. Now the term for the first elected members are coming to an end. Today we have 5 registered parties. Keeping in account the number of constituencies, three new parties will require at least 141 degree holder competing for the second Assembly. The people of our country wanted development and our government responded. Every necessary amenity was brought in front of us.  Every dzongkhag in the country is now connected with black-topped road and other necessary public facilities. But the problem now is, the conditions of the amenities are deteriorating with time. Let us look at the road conditions in the country. The road connectivity in the country is very poor now. Our roads are very narrow and and steep. We can understand that our geographical terrains play the role here and nobody can do anything but there could have a better option than this. Secondly our roads are showered with lots of sharp turns. Take your eyes off the road for a fraction of second and you will be greeted by a sharp turn(Hope nothing happens) Thirdly our roads are poorly maintained. The recent interview aired on BBS with Ex-Dasho Dzongda Jigme Zanpo was very inspiring. His words touched the views to their hearts. We all expect to own a piece of land and flat in the towns after we resign, but Dasho did just the opposite. I am very sure no one will think to help your village or your village fellows after your active service is done.

I know I am not an activist nor an environmentalist to be talking about things, but as a citizen of the nation, I present the following simple issue to the readers. I had the privilege to travel from Tsirang to Thimphu, a countable times and enjoy the beauty of our nation and the gigantic Punatshangchu Project. But every time I travel I am very disturbed by the scene on the road side along the Waklaytar checkpost and the PHPA site. Every time I travel, I always see the road very narrowed by the huge pine logs which lay along the highway. I just wonder why these many trees are felled when the nation is worrying about the degrading natural environment. If it is for timber, I am very sure concerned agency has a criteria to issue the permit like density of trees in the forest. Looking at the forest there, the forest doesn't look too rich with the tree. Some people said the trees were felled by the BPC as a precaution for their new electric lines running through the forest. Every Country in the world has its national language as their unique national identity. And Bhutan is proud to have Dzongkha as its national Language. But the Dzongkha spoken in our country has come a long way in its history. It was spoken as Pure Dzongkha when it was declared as the national language. After few decades it mixed up with English words as people got western education and thus became DzongLish- meaning Dzongkha and English. But Today Dzongkh has reached a new height; it is being blended with Hindi and Nepali thus becoming DzongNep and DzongHind. I am not a researcher or a linguist but i can sense the change in the style of talking in our national language. I would like to give some examples of DzongNep and DzongHind: 1. Ga'ri- Vehicle 2. The recent job fair organized by the MoLHR was just for name sake or it was just to fulfill the promises made by the elected government that they have done their part. Though it was targeted for the fresh job seekers to find appropriate job and the organizations to find the correct person, many people doubt whether it served its objective or not.  The fair had 1,050 vacancies announced for employment for graduates, class XII candidate and class X candidate but took only 235. Most of the job seekers were not satisfied by the availability of jobs. They were rather frustrated and disappointed looking at the job market scenario of the country.  There was a great mismatch between the demand and the supply. The employers were all after "EXPERIENCE" or  in- service people while the job seekers were all fresh but ready to work. No damage reptd from east Bht. 4 rd blks causd by fallg debris r reptd on the Chukha - P'ling road. 2 homes in Haa report damage with 3/4 people having suffered minor injury. The recent article by kuensel states that the children of class THREE are going to sit for board exams beginning this year. It was decided by the BBE which is now a autonomous body. The reason, they gave was, they wanted to assess the learning of the lower primary students through a common paper. It is also to assess the amount of syllabus taught in the lower primary schools by the teachers especially in the remote schools. But the question here is; Are our Kids ready to face the board exams? I know people will say "Yes", but i don't think our kids are ready to face the board exams. Till now, class three students need to be guided while writing the exam papers, but i think the new paper doesn't allow that.People may think that, students, long time ago sat for board exams at early grades, but the learners are not  same. It is a great news that the Prime Minister (PM) has officially requested the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) to investigate the land problem at Gyelposhing in Mongar. The gives ACC a chance to catch big fish as we are very sure that higher officials are involved in the issue. The big fish needs to be punished once so that the public feel what law is;- for all. Its not only the lower designated people who are corrupt, but the big bosses are too, and they indulge in planned practices. These big fish plan things in such a way that when caught, they always have a way to throw the issue to others or point finger. And this time ACC should not give them opportunity to do so. Its high time ACC show what they can do with these kind of people. It is a shame that people gamble on these issues leaving the poor and helpless ones uninformed. Believe it or not..... This is a very unique sight on a Rocky cliff beside the road. The cliff is located few kilometers from Chuzom Checkpost towards  Thimphu. Few years back, it wasn't painted but now it is beautifully decorated for people to have a good view. The highway widening has to face a task of constructing a Retention wall as they could not break the cliff that the elephant stood. According to locals, it is very religious place.

Amidst the crowd of friends i stand lonely gazing at the memories As i recall them. It isn't unusual for me. Every time i recall the time when i was with my friends who shared my laughter and all my sorrows. "Friend in need is a friend in deed" i always demand their company. Without them, I am a String-less bow But I know Life isn't good always not bed of roses. I cant always be with them, Life must go on... without them...my friends which i can't think of. In dilemma, i lay As i am not sure whether I can have my own Life without them. Oh God!, Please help me, for I am Lost in my world of thoughts.
